Saint-Jérôme’s Carrefour du Nord is the regional mall, and most of the shops listed here are located on its single main floor. There is an upper level on the switcher, but it is a thin plate compared than the floor that people mean when they say they are going to the centre.
The map is for settling that before you park, and then for seeing where on a long building the unit actualy is. If you know the name, go straight to that item. The box in the upper left opens the level and centres the unit. You won’t need to walk around the main floor looking for what the plan would of put right there.
If all you know is what type of stop it is, open just one sidebar category and keep the rest closed. Services, sports, fashion, food, beauty and electronics is separated so a restaurant doesn’t get lumped in with a jewelry counter and a grocery run. Clicking the yellow shape opens the same note as clicking the name. Use the scroll wheel or zoom from the lower right, and on your phone, go full screen while you check out the plan from the car.
Carrefour du Nord Directory Map
Winners and Canadian Tire are big enough to steer by. Pin Maxi & Cie if this trip is for groceries instead of browsing. Use these landmarks to guide your walk, not to tour the centre. Find the closest big shape, then look for the little stop at that end of the floor. Sports Experts can likewise orients a sporting-goods errand. It is not a kiosk.
From there, you should just walk straight down the aisle from that spot instead of visiting every name in the sidebar. You could say it’s food that runs from a counter you pass on your way out to a meal you’re meant to sit down for and the only thing that tells them apart is the description: before you text someone where to meet up. You can find electronics shops next to each other, and they don’t do the same job: a plan, a case, a repair are different lines. Services and beauty should be in their own headings, such as a salon or a clinic where you have an appointment.
Open up all of the categories at once, and a one-floor mall begins to feel bigger then the errand needs to be. At Saint-Jérôme, most of the time your trip will come off the highway and you will have to decide which side of the lot to park on. Once you’re inside the correct half, the width of the ground plate means that a mistake is less time-consuming than getting into the wrong end.
Before locking the car, take a look at the plan. If search directs you to the upper level, look for it. It is there, but do not wander around assuming the stores has a second copy upstairs. Unless the directory opens somewhere else, start on the main floor.
The drawing won’t change much with the weekend traffic off the highway, but it does change the mood of the floor. What was a quick pause at the counter during the week might mean a line that uses the time you’ve saved by parking close to the right pin. That line won’t appear in the directory. Instead, it will reveal whether the next stop is at the far end or beside you, so you can drop the extra errand without having to guess from the corridor.
If you’re meeting someone, name the large pin and the side of the floor. In a building this wide, saying “At the Carrefour” is not specific enough. A service you booked is one thing; a grocery pin is another. It is a walk in fashion and beauty.
Go to the category that matches the job. Open the heading. Read the note. Then, close the door (and the rest of the sidebar).
The drawing moves slower than hours, and varies by tenant, so remember this on a Laurentides weekend when it was the long part of driving there. Check in with the store that made the trip worthwhile. The short descriptions, the shapes, and the level switch help you stay on track toward the stop you are looking for.
