CF Fairview Pointe Claire is a big shopping centre in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. It ranks among the biggest shopping areas on the Island of Montreal. The space holds stores, restaurants and services (more then hundred of them for sure).
Cadillac Fairview manages it, a company that cares about many known shopping places across Canada.
Among the main stores of the centre you find Winners, HomeSense, Sport Chek/Atmosphère, The Maison Simons and Best Buy. You also find known brands like Old Navy, Renaud-Bray, Laura Secord and Rona-Dépôt Pointe-Claire. So whether you want to get new clothes, buy some devices or search for home items, quite a lot of options wait.
The shopping centre first opened in the middle of the sixties. Among the first big stores were Simpsons, Steinberg’s, Eaton’s and Woolco (brands of the past), that almost all disappeared now. Many changes happened since then.
Through the years, renovations changed the look, and the mix of stores looks entirely different than before.
The shopping area is vast, clean and well taken care of. It creates a pleasant place to spend some hours walking around. The renovations over time and the general quality of the hall make it very solid.
Great parking access here, which always is useful for those that arrive by car. The parking area even includes a Tesla Supercharger, so owners of electric cars can charge while they shop. That adds a modern touch to a centre that has run for decades.
You also find food options. The place has a food court and several food shops. Some of those spots offer takeout or delivery, and special deals sometimes appear online through the page of Cadillac Fairview.
One notable thing though: the food court had problems with worker welfare. It should not stop you, but good to know.
CF Fairview Pointe Claire is the main shopping place for the west part of the island. It ranks among the top spots in Pointe-Claire. Although other centres in the broader Montreal region can be bigger or more fancy, for example Carrefour Laval, this one keeps its position well for the people that it serves.
The centre also runs fun activities for its community. For instance, there was an anniversary contest, where visitors could share their favorite memories about the place scanning QR-codes on signs around the building. Small touches like this show the efforts of the centre to stay connected to thefolks that shop here.
The hours of stores vary by store and can change during holidays or events like Black Friday. Always check before you visit, especially in those busy periods.
