CF Pacific Centre is a major shopping place in the downtown of Vancouver, sitting in the centre of British Columbia. The name is fairly new (before it had another title), although many locals still call it simply Pacific Centre. Cadillac Fairview owns the property together with the Ontario Pension Board and WorkSafeBC, while Cadillac Fairview takes care of the daily management.
The mall sits right on Granville Street, probably one of the most lively streets of Vancouver. The whole area buzzes with life. Inside, the stores offer modern style, and the area has that energy, almost as if everyone is involved in something.
The folks here are friendly and chatty, and something interesting always happens around you.
What truly separates CF Pacific Centre is its underground, weather-protected structure. Given the fame of Vancouver for rain, the chance to shop comfortably without a storm ruining your plans is really great. The centre holds more then a hundred stores, that cover fashion, technology, cosmetics and nearly everything in between.
Getting there is very simple, major transit lines pass nearly right beside it, so no matter where you come from.
The list of tenants carries some known names. Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen, Shoppers Drug Mart and Apple Store all have stores here, together with Canada Goose. When it comes to food, options do not lack.
The customer service team has won a good name for its approach and real help. Also, there are special offers for tourists, which helps, because many international visitors pass through Vancouver. The standards of customer service everywhere are quite good.
Even so, the mall is not without flaws. Some parts seem a bit old compared to other shopping centres in the greater Vancouver area. For instance, Metrotown or Oakridge, they both went through big renewals recently.
CF Pacific Centre has been more slow to update some areas. Even so, it stays an important part of downtown shopping.
The main draw even so is the location itself. Being in the heart of the city means that you are surrounded by hotels, restaurants and tourist features within a short walk. Everything is nearly at your door, whether you live here and want a quick purchase or visit and want to explore the city.
The hours usually last from morning until evening during most days, with some changes on weekends. Sundays start a bit later. During big shopping events or holidays, the hours get longer, so it is good to check them before, if you plan a trip.
CF Pacific Centre calls itself an excellent shopping place in Vancouver, and the mix of stores backs that view quite well. It does not stop at fancy fashion, there is real variety for different budgets and tastes. Electronics, beauty, accessories, everyday purchases, all of this is covered.
The underground tunnels tie everything nicely, letting you move through a huge space of stores without ever going outside. Such smooth flow makes the shift between stores natural andpractical.
